Over its 20+ year history, Stevens Cresto Engineers has established an extensive portfolio of multi-family residential projects, with particular emphasis on affordable housing. Multi-family projects, both of podium and on-grade design, present a unique combination of challenges that rely on maximizing every square inch of project footprint. Stevens Cresto has partnered with Price Charities, Chelsea Investment Corporation, Wakeland Housing & Development Corporation, San Diego Interfaith Housing Federation, Community HousingWorks, MAAC, and other prominent leaders in inclusionary housing to help provide high quality, cost effective, and award winning housing for San Diego’s lower income residents.
Multi-family redevelopment projects, including affordable housing, are high density products that require both solid design and innovation to maximize number of units and integrate all desired elements and amenities into highly constrained sites. Stevens Cresto provides the necessary support and team collaboration needed to address the unique challenges of redevelopment, such as: constrained deadlines and budgets, undersized infrastructure, utility relocations, right-of-way vacations, and navigating the discretionary permitting process. Our firm has provided civil engineering, land planning, water quality and land survey services for more than 20 multi-family market-rate, affordable, and inclusionary residential housing projects throughout the City of San Diego, and communities throughout San Diego County.
Our projects comprise 1,000’s of affordable housing units in locations throughout San Diego County, including Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido, Santee, and the San Diego communities of North Park, City Heights, San Ysidro, and East Village in Downtown.
